How To Keep Your Home Safe:
Smoke Alarms -- The simple but true slogan, "Fire alarms save lives." It's everywhere, and it's true. Having a smoke detector or smoke alarm is your first alert to there being danger of fire in the building. But in order for them to work properly, they have to be maintained and taken care of. That means changing the battery and testing it every so often.
Carbon Monoxide Alarms -- Unfortunately, this past hurricane season, many people died; not directly from the hurricane, but from using generators which emit carbon monoxide (an odorless gas that can kill). With a carbon monoxide alarm, you are warned before the gas kicks in and affects you. Carbon monoxide is poisonous, and kills.
Pets -- Sometimes people don't want the hassle of setting up an alarm system. So, as their early alarm system, they have dogs. Dogs are great because they not only make great companions, but they also protect from intruders. A two for one deal. Dogs can make you feel safe and give good company all at the same time.
With these safety tips, we hope you and your family are kept safe from danger and harm. Think safety.
