Child Safety: Always Be On The Lookout
Child safety is not just a big issue, but an issue that should be taken seriously. Children are the most vulnerable when it comes to keeping safe. So, because they depend on us we need to be twice as prepared for any situation that arises. We need to think more about their safety than of ours because they are so dependent. When it comes to child safety take it upon yourself to protect your little ones. Here are some child safety tips for you.
Basic Child Safety Issues
Burns: Do not smoke or carry hot objects or beverages or smoke while carrying your baby. Make sure your home is equipped with smoke detectors, and check the battery often. Turn your hot water down to prevent accidental scalding while showering or taking a bath. Use flame-retardant pajamas for your baby. Protect your baby from direct sunlight. When cooking, turn pot handles in towards the stove.
Poisoning: Always have the Poison Control Center number within reach. Move household chemicals out of reach of children. When giving children medicine, never tell them it's candy, and always use childproof caps on medicine bottles. Believe it or not, plants can be poisonous, Keep out of reach of children.
Secondhand Smoke: Secondhand smoke comes from the end of a cigarette and breathed out by the smoker. It can make a healthy infant sick -- as well as a healthy adult. Do not smoke inside, only outside. Do not smoke in the car. Do not smoke around a baby or child...period.
When it comes to child safety, you want to be as cautious as possible keep your child as safe as possible. Child safety is a necessity because children can't fend for themselves. Keep your child safe and give your self peace of mind by following these safety tips.
