Survival Kit
When it comes to survival, you have to be prepared for whatever comes your way. It's one thing to have a first-aid kit, but what about a survival kit? When we talk about survival kits, we don't necessarily mean the type you take with you in the woods for camping. We're talking about your every day, run of the mill survival kit. It sounds strange, but there is a survival kit for every situation out there. There are survival kits for the home, travel, boating; anything you can think of. Either way, it's better safe than sorry. You can never be too careful.
The Big City Survival Kit
When it comes to big cities, you would think there are resources everywhere, so you wouldn't necessarily think you need a survival kit. But they don't call it the concrete jungle for nothing. If you're not from a big city, it can be a scary confusing place, making you an easy target and victim. The one thing you don't want to like is a tourist, or like you're lost. When you're in a big city, you want to look like you belong; don't act scared. Walk with confidence and try to blend in.
When in the big city, you want to have a few things with you. Always have cash on you, but make sure it is hidden properly. Never keep your wallet in your back pocket, it makes it easier for you to be pick-pocketed. Always have a cell phone on you, or at least change so you can use a pay phone. Have a working knowledge of where you want to go, and never travel alone, if you're not from that city. But the most important item in your survival kit, common sense.
When it comes to your big city survival kit, this is just a start. Better safe than sorry.
