Use common sense.
One important thing to remember when it comes to train safety is that you should be extremely careful when walking between cars. There is often a risky and dangerous gap between them, and you do NOT want to get caught between the two, let alone slip and risk bring thrown off the train, or even killed. Use extreme caution when traversing this gap. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
Furthermore ...
Another obvious but often overlooked aspect of train safety that you should be aware of is the necessity for you to keep your seat belt buckled at all times. Yes, much like riding in an automobile, this is a crucial safety precaution that could end up saving your life in the event of a crash or derailment. Use common sense and trust your instincts.
Remember, you are going to have a great time, but that does not mean you should forego the simple yet essential laws of train safety. Have a great trip!
